Longer, 2 to 4 hour sessions to understand the impact this has had, and will have, on your life and relationships.

Newly diagnosed intensive
Have you or someone close to you recently been diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, or AuDHD?
It can be a confusing time. The diagnosis often raises questions about your identity and the impact this has had, and will have, on your life and relationships.
I have supported many young people and adults through the diagnosis process. They often shared that they would have liked more guidance and support after they received their diagnosis. This is the reason I decided to create an intervention specifically for this purpose.
There are traits that my clients frequently need more knowledge and strategies to manage. Some of these are executive dysfunction, sensory sensitivities, emotional disregulation, masking, and the risk of burnout.
However, everyone is different, and for this reason, I believe each intensive should be tailored to the person attending and their unique presentation. This intervention is likely to include both psycho-education and counselling to meet each client’s specific needs.
It’s therefore essential to have an assessment session before attending. During this initial meeting, we will establish the areas you would like support with and the format of the session. Intensives can be between two and four hours with smaller and longer breaks. The ideal length will depend on the individual and how much they’d like to cover.
There will be an option to bring a person of your choice along to this intensive session. It may be that you would like your partner or parent to attend. This may help them understand and support you more effectively. Please note that this intensive is for young people aged 16 and over, as well as adults of any age.
Step 1 – If you are interested in attending an intensive session, please start by booking an assessment session (£85). This can be done by emailing me directly. During this meeting (which can be face-to-face or online), we will discuss your specific needs so that I can tailor the session to you.
The most comprehensive session. A very good option if you decide to bring a partner or family member along. We have time to cover several areas you’ve identified that you need help and support with. We take a proper lunch break in the middle and a small break every hour. This means that the total length of the day is about five and a half hours.
The highly recommended session. This is a great option whether you come by yourself or with someone of your choice. We have enough time to cover any questions you may have after your diagnosis, to talk about strategies to manage areas you find challenging, and to address any relationship difficulties you may be experiencing. We will take a lunch break and small breaks every hour.
The extended session. This is a slightly shorter option where we will focus our attention on your main areas of concern and any support you need to implement strategies to manage your life more effectively. This option may suit you if the assessment session reveals that your support needs are relatively low. We will take a short break after the first hour.
Please note that if you have questions about the intensive sessions or would like to inquire about availability, please email me. You can’t book assessments or intensives through the calendar on the website.
